Welcome to the new Birth House website! If you are looking for a birthing experience that is different from the conventional hospital setting, come explore our site.


The Birth House is a freestanding birth center and home birth service owned and staffed by 3 Certified Professional Midwives located in Bridgton, Maine (One hour west of Portland, 30 minutes from North Conway, NH). In addition, for our clients who live or work in Portland, we have opened a office in Downtown Portland for prenatal and postpartum visits. We offer comprehensive, individualized midwifery care to pregnant and post partum women. We specialize in gentle, natural birth and have a birthing pool for labor and/or waterbirth.
